Description of the project | The programme query has been synthesised into a regular grid of 9 fields per floor. Each field corresponds to a function and has been reduced to a common denominator, allowing flexible use. The central field remains empty: a patio houses an intimate garden that generously distributes natural light into the heart of the house. The resulting plan allows for flexibility: functions can be mutated, the garage can be transformed into a studio or a flat. The rectangular shape and orientation of the building allow the house to be open to the street (north) and the garden (south) on the ground floor. On the other hand, the upper floors, the bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floors are open to the east and west. |
